Lesson 4: Tracking household/business expenses

Click on the Expenses icon and the screen should look like this

You're now in Spending. If you haven't used Web Scout™ yet, you won't see much data on your Monechron at this point. If you have used Web Scout™, you will find in the area on the left an Overview of your Income and Expenses in the past twelve months and, below it, a month-by-month breakdown. The line graph on the right gives an analysis of the spending pattern.

If you wish to view your income and expenses of a particular month, select that month and click on View Month. The screen should look like this

Now on the left is an overview of the income and expenses in November, 2002. You see that the Total Income for the month is $3955.30,Total Expense is $6355.82, and the Net is in the red. A further breakdown of the month's expenses by payees is shown in the lower part.

The pie chart on the right provides a graphical analysis of the information. Move the cursor over each segment of the pie chart and the dollar amount and percent of the total will display.

If you have any questions, email us: support@qfxsoftware.com, or go to the User Manual for a more detailed description of the Expenses features.
